The Bolivar Square

It’s located in the center of Bogotá at 2680m above sea level. It’s without a doubt the heart of Bogota. It was founded on April 27 1563 by Sebastian de Belalcazar, in the course of its history has had many changes and renovations, in 1959 to 1960 the firm Martinez y Avendaño gave it the actual look including the statue of Bolivar which is located at the center of the square.
